Hi my name is Lia Eversfield I’m from Jersey in the Channel Islands, I’m 17 and am new to tumblr but almost a year ago I decided to leave my family and friends to spend almost 2 months in the amazon rainforest taking part in environmental research and community service in small villages. This photo is from one morning when we work at 4:30am in order to pack up camp and left at 6am on our canoes and were amazed by the amount of fog across the whole amazon river. I feel this photo sums up the mystery and unexpectedness of the amazon rainforest; highlight why it’s one of the most amazing and diverse places on earth and why it should be protected.
